Branches Open in SSC Course 2027-A

The course takes officers into a spread of branches: Operations, Mechanical Engineering, Weapon Engineering, Supply, Ordnance, Medical, Instructor, Naval Law, Information Technology and Special Branch. The engineering branches take engineering graduates, Supply takes business and commerce graduates, Naval Law takes law graduates, the Instructor branch takes subject specialists, and the Medical branch takes MBBS doctors, who enter through the M Cadet route in this same registration. The exact degree and subject accepted for every branch is printed on the registration portal against that branch, and that printed list is the final word, because one wrong branch choice at registration cannot be corrected later.

Who Can Apply: Eligibility

This registration is for Pakistani male citizens. Education is by branch: most branches need a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the branch’s subject, engineering branches need the relevant engineering degree, and the Medical branch needs MBBS. Age limits and any height and medical standards are also branch-specific and are shown on joinpaknavy.gov.pk when you select your branch; read them before registering, because the initial test is only offered to candidates the system accepts as eligible. Candidates who have been rejected twice by the services selection boards, or who were withdrawn from a service academy, should check the ineligibility conditions printed on the portal before spending time on registration.

How to Register at joinpaknavy.gov.pk

  1. Open joinpaknavy.gov.pk and start the registration for SSC Course 2027-A.
  2. Select your branch carefully according to your degree subject; the branch decides your test and career path.
  3. Fill the registration form with your CNIC details, education record and contact information exactly as they appear on your documents.
  4. Submit and note your registration details and test date information shown by the portal.
  5. Appear for the initial test at the Pakistan Navy Recruitment and Selection Centre named for you, with your original documents.

Registration is online only and is free. The window closes on 22 November 2026 and is not extended for individual candidates.

Selection Stages After Registration

After registration, candidates go through the initial test at their recruitment centre, followed by a preliminary medical examination and personality and psychological testing for those who pass. Shortlisted candidates are then called for the ISSB tests, and the final selection is made by Naval Headquarters on merit after the final medical. The M Cadet doctors follow the medical branch route within the same course cycle. At every stage the call comes through the portal and the recruitment centre, so keep your registered mobile number active from November onwards.

Mistakes That End Navy Applications Early

  • Registering in the wrong branch for your degree subject.
  • Waiting until 22 November, when the portal carries the heaviest load.
  • Degree or CNIC details that differ from your original documents at the centre.
  • Missing the initial test date; centres do not reschedule individuals.
  • Trusting any agent who claims he can arrange selection; selection is by test and merit only.

Before you register, keep your CNIC, educational documents and a recent photograph ready, and use an email address and mobile number you check every day, because the portal and the recruitment centre will use them to send your test date and call letters.

PNR&SC Centres: Where Candidates Report

Candidates report to the Pakistan Navy Recruitment and Selection Centre for their area. The Navy runs these centres in the country’s major cities, including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Quetta, Multan and Faisalabad, and your centre is the one named through the registration process for your district. Everything after online registration happens through this centre: the initial test, the preliminary medical and the personality testing are all centre-based, and the centre is also where you confirm any document query. Keep the centre’s instructions and your registration record together, because a candidate who reports to the wrong centre or on the wrong date loses the attempt for this course.

The Initial Test: What It Usually Covers

The initial test is the first filter of the course, and it usually combines an intelligence portion, verbal and non-verbal, with an academic portion drawn from the subjects you have studied for your branch. Engineer candidates should expect their engineering subjects to carry weight, medical candidates their professional subjects, and general branch candidates the subjects of their degree. Candidates who clear the initial test go forward to the preliminary medical the same cycle; those who do not are not re-tested within the same course. Treat the weeks between registration and the test as preparation time, not waiting time, because the gap between applying and testing in a November course is short.
